Perfection

Imperfection is magnified in the presence of perfection.  The closer we become to "perfection," (maturity, the full corn in the ear, meet for the Master's use) the more the immaturity, or "imperfection" of others is magnified to us.

"I wouldn't have done it that way."  "Why don't they just...!"

The "wrong" in others is magnified when the "right" in us begins to shine bright.  The Truth is, what we think is "wrong" in others, is not wrong at all; it's just where they are at right now.  In fact, if we are honest, where they are "at" is where we just came from ourselves.  But when we're in the midst of "it," we can't see "it." But when you come out of "it," everything becomes more clear.

It's critical for us, at this moment of "going to the next level," "coming into our own," that we guard against becoming critical.  The moment of "coming into one's own" is when our flesh is the most susceptible to an attack.

Remember, pride is perverted authority.  God has created us to be proud of who we are.  God has created us to "rule and reign," but pride--the elevation of one's self over another for the purpose of simply being superior--is perverted authority, and is the enemy's breading grounds for destruction.  That kind of pride comes before a fall.

At this moment, when you feel the real you rise up on your inside, when you feel yourself passing from one level to another, when it seems like suddenly everyone is against you or no one can do anything right that gets around you.  When it feels like you are the only one left on the planet who knows how to do it "right," resist the urge to see things "wrong" in others.  Remain thankful that the Lord has brought you into a new level, into a new land.  Remember that just a moment ago that was you.

Guard yourself from becoming critical…self-righteous. Embrace your promotion, but remember if it weren’t for God, you would still be going around that same mountain again and again.

“Self” righteousness sees its "self" right and everyone else wrong.  Now, notice I said "self."  "Self" righteousness sees their "self" right and everyone else wrong.  But remember, there is not one good, no not one!

Your "self" is no better than anyone else's "self."  We are all flesh and blood, life - the light of men.  Every human being, regardless of race, gender, or creed, deserves the same universal respect.

Remember that the highest form of “righteousness” is not compared to "self" or "flesh", but right standing to "God--spirit."  As flesh and blood I am no better than any other "self" on this planet.  But it is no longer I, "self," who lives, but "Christ"--the complete work of God--that lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh, "self," I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Him "self" for me.  I laid down my "self" so I could pick up His!  --Oh' Praise God!

On a human scale you are no better than anyone else, but you are not just mere flesh and blood, if you are born of the Spirit, but you have been "born again," given the "spirit of adoption," by which you cry, "Abba Father!"

The world has been competing for power since it was created.  Everyone wants to be in charge.  The world is shifting now and demands that no one be in charge.  Every man wants the right to be right.  Everyone wants the right to govern him or her “self.”

You're right, you have the right to govern your "self," but the real you - your spirit, is under the headship and authority of One, Jesus Christ - God in the flesh.

He has total control over you, because He has purchased you with the greatest price known to mankind - blood.  Jesus Christ gave His life that you might have "life," not "self," and have it more abundantly.

You have the right to govern your "self" but the One True Christ, who is the propitiation of sin, and has paved The Way to eternal righteousness for all mankind, and He governs your “spirit”, but you have to receive it.

The world was, the world is, and the world will be…then the end will come.  You are absolutely in charge of your "self."  You have the right to choose to live any way you want to.  You can choose any lifestyle you want to and stake your claim that you are forever remaining “true to who you are.”  But remember that your "self" will come to an end.  And when your “self” comes to an end, your spirit will continue to be for all eternity.  It’s only when you come to the end of who you think you are that you will truly come to know who you are.  “But for now we see in a mirror dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

There will come a day when you will know you as you are known.  That will be the moment of truth.  If at this point, you have never given the governing of your spirit, the real you, over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, The One who made eternal life (eternal right relationship with God) available to you, you will be separated.

The goats will be gathered to one side, and the sheep the other.  On that great and notable Day of Judgment, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will stand at the Judgment seat, and spirit after spirit (one light of man after another) will come and stand before God Almighty to bare record of the decision they have made with the "self" and the "life" they have been given.

For those who have accepted The Way, The Truth, and The Live, the Eternal Judge will bare record of your name recorded in The Lamb's book of life, and instruct you to "enter ye in thou good and faithful servant."

But if you have never surrendered your life to the governing of The One who created you, if you have chosen to govern your "self," you will stand before The Almighty God--Eternal Judge--and have to justify your "self" before Him. And we are all but as filthy rags. Who dares compare their own selves good in the sight of Almighty God?

To govern your "self," friend, means you accept the eternal responsibility and consequences for your "self" and "spirit."  All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.  No man is good, no not one.  The wages of sin is death.

Look into nature.  It's apparent there is more to life than what we know.  God is seen in every part of our world; so much so that all man will be without excuse.

The Spirit of the Lord is in the earth beaconing His sons and daughters to surrender their lives to Him.  Time is of the essence.  The Way has been made.  The Way Maker is waiting.  To accept Eternal Life is to live; to deny it is death.  Choose ye this day whom you shall serve.

If this world be your god, then serve it.  But if God be your God, then serve Him!  Sell out!  Make Him your passion, your consumption, your conviction, and your every waking moment.  Ask, seek and knock, while there is time.

For there will come a day when every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord; regardless of what you have decided.

Today is the day of salvation.

A Heavy Heart

Dear Friend,

I write to you this evening with a very heavy heart.  It seems almost daily, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ conforms more and more to the World our Savior delivered us from.  I sat today with some friends discussing the atrocities that continue to happen to the Church.  Yet, we should not be shocked, because the Word of God tells us this day would come.

The Apostle Paul writes to Timothy in  2 Timothy 4:1-5 (New Living Translation)

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correctrebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.  But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

-----------

It's so important that we see the Apostle Paul was instructing Timothy what to do with "his people;" the part of the Church Timothy was called to shepherd.  It seems The Body of Christ today has made it our mission to attack other religions, to "wage war against principalities and strongholds" over others, yet we fail to see how "out of order" our own house is.

When Paul was talking about the time coming when "people" will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching," he wasn't referring to the world, he was referring to the Church. He continued to warn Timothy that  "the people"--believers; the church--will "follow after their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear."

I am the barer of Good News.  Jesus came to set the captives free! He came to open the prison doors to them that are bound, to comfort all that mourn!  But the freedom Jesus paid for with His life, does not come with a license to live however we want to live.  We are "bondservants" of the Lord Jesus. Our lives are purchased by His blood.  We are not our own.  We as a Body must open our eyes to the leaven that we have allowed to creep in, and see that this leaven is actually separating us from the very one we say we love and serve. A little leaven, the Word says, spoils the whole lump.

I'm saddened that we as a Body have become so intolerable of others but tolerable of our own sin.  Our own Pagan idols are acceptable, but we persecute others for theirs.  They do it in ignorance, the Word of God says, we do it knowingly and openly. Whoever is without sin, let him cast the first stone.

I wanted to write about the four-fold blessings that the Lord revealed to me out of Ezekiel.  I wanted to fill our ears with sweet nothings, but as I sat and picked up my pen, the words flowed through the tears of a heavy heart for the Body of Christ.

Lambs of Love Reach Uganda Children

Lambs of Love reach Uganda Children

"It is my Christmas," said 10 year old, Miracle Moses, who, before finding his way to Mamma Mary's orphanage in Uganda, wandered the streets by himself looking for food and a safe place to live.  Moses and countless of children are without families due to poverty, death and civil war in their homeland.

Miracle Moses and 19 other orphan children at Mamma Mary's in Uganda, were given a very special gift this month; one wrapped in the love and prayers of people from the other side of the world.

Lambs of Love, an international outreach of  Jeff Crume Ministries, distributes stuffed lambs to children, seniors, hospital patients, or those in need of healing, hope and love.  The lambs that were sent to Uganda were prayed over, anointed, named and given a special scripture verse by Middle School students at Linfield Christian School in Temecula, CA.

The Lambs of Love Story
While traveling to Houston, TX in 1992, I was invited to speak at the Harris County Children's Protective Services.  As I spoke to my tiny little crowd, one little girl who had her knees tucked tightly under her, and her head bent down almost in her lap immediately captured my heart.

I walked over, knelt down beside her and asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up, sweetheart?”  She slowly raised her head, and with tears streaming down her cheeks, she whispered, I don’t know, I don’t know.  Abandoned at birth, she was now twelve years old and had been in twelve different foster homes.  I knelt there with her for a moment and softly whispered, “Sweetheart, the only thing no one can ever take away from you is your dream.”

Before leaving Houston, I bought a little black stuffed lamb named pebbles and gave it to that young girl reminding her that no one could take her dreams from her.  I never got to see her again, but the director of the home told me the day I gave her the lamb, she came alive. She asked for crayons and paper and began drawing pictures of her dreams and putting them up all over her room.  She also left me a note, which read, “Dear Mr. Crume, I’m holding on to my dreams and I’m not letting go.” That day, “Lambs of Love” was born.

Each lamb is gently loved on, cuddled, anointed with oil, prayed over, named and given a scripture of hope.  We then deliver the Lambs of Love to children, senior care facilities, foster homes, hospitals or wherever someone is in need of healing, hope and love.

We would like to extend a special thanks to  Kellie Falk, from Temecula, CA who delivered  Lambs of Love to Momma Mary’s Orphanage on her recent missions trip to Uganda.  If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring a Lamb, or you know of someone in need of our Lambs of Love, please email us at  info@jeffcrumeministries.org, and we will contact you to discuss how you or your organization can get involved.

Can These Bones Live

The Lord took the prophet Ezekiel out into the valley of dry bones  (Ezekiel 37) and asked the all important question, " Can these bones live?"  The Prophet answered, " O Lord God, you know."  God is asking the prophet a question, and the prophet, in turn, is asking God the same question.

Sometimes we are afraid to speak what we know for fear that what we think we know is wrong; especially in the eyes of God.  I see the Prophet hesitating to answer God, not because he was uncertain of what God could do, but he was uncertain of the validity of his own response.

Any question from God is an ideal opportunity for us to boldly declare, "YES! God, you can do anything; you're God!"  I believe Ezekiel's reply typifies many today who know God can do anything, but will He; and more importantly, will He do it for me.

Bones are the fragment remains of of life once lived.  Once a might army...now dry bones. Once a powerful force to be reckoned with...now dry bones.  Not only are bones the remains of a life once lived, but they are also the remembrance of what once was.

Do you find yourself in the same condition?  Once vibrant, living, a force to be reconed with...now dry and weary?  Once a wonderful loving, fulfilling marriage...now just existing? Once full of passion, pursuing destiny...now dried and weary with only a memory of what once was?

God is asking you today, "Can these bones live?"

If you, or someone you know, find yourself in a dry, weary, thirsty condition, I would like to personally invite you to "OVERFLOW 2011" during the month of November, as I am teaching on "Can These Bones Live?"  The Spirit of God is showing us how to get back up on our feet again and be the exceeding mighty army He has created us to be.  I want to encourage you friend, God is not finished with you yet!  Join us, and take your life back!
